Lebibe Topalli is the dean and a professor at the Faculty of Applied Arts, Department of Graphic Design and Multimedia at the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj.

 

In addition to her role at the university, Mrs. Topalli has served as the Executive Director of the non-governmental organization MuralFest Kosova (https://muralfest.org/) from its founding in 2016 until 2024. She is also the Artistic Director of MuralFest Kosova and has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Gallery of Arts in Ferizaj since 2020. 

 

After completing her Master of Painting studies at the University of Pristina, she has worked as a primary and secondary school teacher in Ferizaj since 2006. In September 2016, she initiated the establishment of the department of Figurative Arts at the high school of Arts “Çesk Zadeja” in Ferizaj and was later transferred as a professor of painting until 2022.

 

Her active involvement includes serving as Vice-President (2011-2014) and President (2014-2016) of the Association of Figurative Art “Zef Kolombi” in Ferizaj. Ms. Topalli was also honored as “Artist of the Year” by the Municipality of Ferizaj in the same year.

 

Lebibe Topalli is a well-regarded artist with nine (9) personal exhibitions and over fifty (50) collective exhibitions to her credit. Her work has been showcased in galleries in Kosovo, Macedonia, Albania, Turkey, Switzerland, and France.

She is known for her contributions to art development in Ferizaj and beyond, as an activist promoting art, particularly murals in public spaces, and using art as a tool to address social issues. Thanks to her work, Ferizaj has been transformed into a “City of Murals”.
